Getting Started

Achiever Board takes about two minutes to set up. This guide walks you through everything from opening your first board to completing your first task.

How Achiever Board is organized

Achiever Board uses a kanban board โ€” a visual method of managing tasks by moving cards through columns that represent stages of progress. Your board has four columns:

To Do
In Progress
In Review
Done

Every task lives in one of these columns at any given time. You move tasks across as work progresses. At a glance, you can always see what's waiting, what's being worked on, what needs a final check, and what's finished.

Opening your board

Solo Board (no account needed)

  1. 1
    Go to the board page

Open Achiever Board Solo. You'll see an "Open Taskboard" prompt.

  2. 2
    Enter a board name

Type any name โ€” your name, project name, or anything memorable (e.g. johns-work). This name is your unique identifier. Keep it private โ€” anyone who knows the name can access the board.

  3. 3
    Click Open

Your board loads instantly. The name is remembered in your browser so you won't need to type it again on future visits.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Returning to your board If you clear your browser data, just enter your board name again โ€” all your tasks are saved in the cloud, not in your browser.

Team Board (with account)

  1. 1
    Open the Team app

Go to the Achiever Board Team Board and click "Create Account".

  2. 2
Enter your name, email, and a password

The email is only used for password recovery โ€” it's optional. Your name appears on tasks you create or are assigned to.

  3. 3
    Create or join a workspace

After signing in, create a new workspace or ask a teammate to invite you to theirs.

Creating your first task

  1. 1
    Click "+ New Task"

The button is in the top-right corner of the header. A task creation panel will slide open.

  2. 2
    Add a title

Keep it short and action-oriented โ€” e.g. "Write homepage copy" or "Fix login bug".

  3. 3
    Set a priority

Choose High, Medium, or Low. High-priority tasks show a red indicator so they stand out on the board.

  4. 4
    Pick a due date (optional)

Tasks with a due date show a countdown. Overdue tasks are flagged in red automatically.

  5. 5
    Add a description (optional)

Use the description to capture context, requirements, or links that relate to the task.

  6. 6
    Click Save

Your task appears in the To Do column, ready to be worked on.

Moving tasks through the board

To change a task's status, open the task by clicking on it, then use the status buttons at the top of the task detail panel to move it to In Progress, In Review, or Done.

Tasks automatically appear in the correct column after you update their status. Completed tasks move to the Done column and can be filtered out when you want a cleaner view of active work.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Filtering your board Use the priority filter at the top of each column to show only High, Medium, or Low priority tasks in that column. Use the date filter in the header to narrow tasks to a specific time range like "This Week" or "Overdue".
