Privacy Policy

Achiever Board ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website https://achieverboard.com/ (the "Service"). This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data.

By using Achiever Board, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the Service. Depending on which version of Achiever Board you use, this may include:

Team Board (achieverboard.com/team/)

• Account name — chosen by you when creating an account.
• Recovery email address — optionally provided for password recovery. Not required to use the Service.
• Password — stored in hashed form via Firebase Authentication. We never store plain-text passwords.
• Task data — titles, descriptions, due dates, priorities, statuses, comments, and file attachments you create.
• Profile photo — optionally uploaded by you, stored as a data URL.

Solo Board (achieverboard.com/)

• Board name — the name you choose for your task space. Your board name acts as your unique identifier. It is stored in your browser's localStorage as a convenience so you don't have to retype it on every visit — but your actual data is safely stored in Firebase (see Section 3), not in your browser. If you clear your browser data, simply use "Open Taskboard" and enter your board name to restore full access to all your tasks.
• Task data — titles, descriptions, due dates, priorities, statuses, notes, and file attachments you create, all stored in Firebase Realtime Database.
• No account or email is required to use the Solo Board.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your task boards and task data.
• To allow password recovery if you provide a recovery email.
• To display your name and avatar within the app.
• To provide notifications about task updates and deadlines.
• To improve the reliability and performance of the Service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Third-Party Services

Achiever Board uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Google Firebase (Firestore & Realtime Database) — stores your task data, account information, and notes. Data is hosted on Google's infrastructure. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts — loads the Poppins typeface from Google's CDN. Google may log font requests. See Google Privacy Policy.
• GitHub Pages — hosts the Achiever Board website files. See GitHub Privacy Statement.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Achiever Board does not set cookies directly. We use the browser's localStorage to remember your active board name between sessions on the Solo Board, purely as a convenience. Your actual task data is stored in Firebase (cloud), not in your browser — so clearing browser data will not delete your tasks. You can always re-open your board by entering your board name in the "Open Taskboard" form.

Third-party services integrated into Achiever Board (listed above) may set their own cookies or use similar tracking technologies, subject to their respective privacy policies.

5. Advertising

Achiever Board may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or similar advertising networks. These networks may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

We do not control the data collected by advertising partners. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Data Retention

Your task data is stored as long as your account exists or your board name is active. You may delete your account (and all associated data) at any time from the Profile Settings screen inside the app. For Solo Boards, data is stored in Firebase under your board name; you can delete individual tasks or clear your board at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

Achiever Board is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:

• The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
• The right to correct inaccurate data.
• The right to request deletion of your data.
• The right to object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

9. Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your data, including the use of Firebase's built-in security rules and password hashing. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
