Privacy Policy

Achiever Board ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website https://achieverboard.com/ (the "Service"). This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data.

By using Achiever Board, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the Service. Both the Solo Board and the Team Board require a free account. Creating one collects:

• Email address — required to create an account, confirm it, and log in, via our authentication provider, Supabase Auth.
• Password — stored in hashed form by Supabase Auth. We never store or have access to your plain-text password.
• Task data — titles, descriptions, due dates, priorities, statuses, notes/comments, and file attachments you create.

Team Board (achieverboard.com/team/) additionally collects:

• Display name — chosen by you when you create or join a team.
• Team membership and role — which team(s) you belong to, and whether you're an admin or a member.
• Profile photo — optionally uploaded by you, stored via our file storage provider, Supabase Storage.
• Direct messages — 1-on-1 messages you send to teammates within a team.
• Announcements — team-wide announcement posts.
• Payment information — for paid team plans, payments are handled entirely by Stripe via Stripe's own hosted checkout page. We never receive, see, or store your card number or other payment details — see Stripe Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and secure your account and let you log in.
• To create and maintain your task boards and task data.
• To send you an email confirmation link when you sign up, and a password-reset email if you request one.
• To display your name and avatar within the app, and let teammates message you and be notified about task updates.
• To process payments for paid Team plans (handled by Stripe — see Section 3).
• To improve the reliability and performance of the Service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Third-Party Services

Achiever Board uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase (Authentication, Database & Storage) — stores your account, task data, and any files or photos you upload, protected by row-level security so only you (or your teammates, for Team Board data) can access it. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Stripe — processes payments for paid Team plans via Stripe's own hosted checkout page. We never see or store your payment card details. See Stripe Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — hosts the Achiever Board website. See Vercel Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts — loads the Poppins typeface from Google's CDN. Google may log font requests. See Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics — helps us understand how visitors use the site. See Google Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Achiever Board does not set cookies directly, beyond what's needed to keep you logged in. Our authentication provider, Supabase, stores your login session in your browser's localStorage so you stay signed in between visits. Clearing your browser data will simply log you out — it will not delete any of your data, since your tasks, account, and (for Team Board) team data are all stored securely in our database, not in your browser.

Third-party services integrated into Achiever Board (listed above) may set their own cookies or use similar tracking technologies, subject to their respective privacy policies.

5. Advertising

Achiever Board may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or similar advertising networks. These networks may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

We do not control the data collected by advertising partners. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Data Retention

Your data is stored for as long as your account exists. On the Solo Board, you can delete individual tasks, or clear your entire board, at any time from the board settings menu. On the Team Board, you can leave a team at any time, and a team admin can remove members or regenerate the team's invite code. To request full deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the information in Section 11.

7. Children's Privacy

Achiever Board is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:

• The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
• The right to correct inaccurate data.
• The right to request deletion of your data.
• The right to object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

9. Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your data, including Supabase's row-level security policies (which restrict every piece of data to the account, or team, it belongs to), encrypted password hashing, and encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
